Kansas City, Missouri

This project involved almost every facet of civil engineering including over 6.5 miles of roadway, 35,000 feet of storm sewers, storm water detention, hydraulic analysis of Todd Creek, 15,000 feet of 8” and 16” water mains, 110 acres of asphalt parking, 5 bridges, 3 box culverts, an earth dam, Waters of the U.S., and permitting through FEMA, COE and the MoDNR.

SK Design was responsible for masterplanning, project management, design and construction observation. SK Design coordinated a team of consultants consisting of a surveyor, geotechnical engineer, environmental engineer, bridge consultant, an architect, landscape architect, mechanical/electrical engineer, and a security consultant.

The project was awarded the KCMO APWA Public Works Project of the Year award in 2005.
